GRAG was formed in 2005 in response to the closure of the Giralang shops in 2004 and proposed redevelopment of the site as a residential only precinct by the sole owner of the lease, Nikias Nominees.
The aim of GRAG has been to restore a viable local shopping centre to the suburb.
